Company-Sponsored Funding Programs

Company-Sponsored Funding Program are initiatives where businesses can provide support to their organization or individuals for specific training or business development. Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Funds (WIOA)

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant provides individuals who are looking for a job, education, or training with funding to succeed in the labor market. This is designed to help students who wish to get their CDL or be trained in welding attend classes and start their new career! WIOA also requires states to negotiate performance goals with employers and educators to build regional collaboration in the local workforce areas.

Our campus Financial Aid Office can provide additional Funds (WIOA).

Workers Compensation/Rehabilitation Funds

Workers Compensation/Rehabilitation Funds are two different forms of funding that help those with limitations find training for employment. Rehabilitation funds come from the Department of Rehabilitation. This is a resource that works with individuals who have physical or mental disabilities to help prepare them to secure, retain or regain employment. This program is through the State Department of Rehabilitation, and individuals can receive funding if their training program is approved. To qualify for this funding you must have:

  • A documented physical or mental disability that creates a barrier to employment
  • The ability to benefit from services to become employed
  • Applied for and received an assignment to a vocational rehabilitation counselor.

Workers’ Compensation provides funding for potential students who suffered injuries on a previous job and cannot return to it due to a permanent disability. This is paid out by the individual insurance carrier(s). Eligible individuals can qualify for a non-transferrable education and retaining voucher to cover their tuition, books, supplies, and any other materials required for training.
